1. What is For Creatives ?
- We provide creative spaces for experiences, private gatherings, and productions.
2. Does In the Sky operate as a restaurant?
- No, we are not a restaurant. We collaborate with culinary talent/caterers that bring in food orders.
3. What is the highest guest count your spaces permit?
- 130 guests
4. Am I allowed to bring a DJ for my event?
- Yes , No sub speakers are allowed at any locations. We have staff on site to make sure noise levels aren’t a disturbance.
5. How do I tour a space?
- Tours are appointment ONLY. No “pop-ups” are allowed. You can schedule a tour by texting 757-231-6787 or filling out a submission form on the space page you are interested in..
6. How do I get inside the Broken Book and Boho Home ?
Our host will let you inside electronically or by call box.
7. Are there any rules for production bookings ?
Yes, see on the space page that you are interested in.
8. Are there any restrictions when it comes to catering ?
No gas equipment.
No fryers. Air fryers are allowed.
No open flames.
*Clients are responsible for all necessities for gatherings :
- Serving utensils
- Ice
- Plates/Napkins ( A space and B space is exempt )
- Chafing Dishes
- Aluminum Foil

Date Night/A Space
1. Are alcoholic beverages provided?
- No.
2. How do I get access to the space?
- Our staff will meet you in the lobby on level 1 , open the doors to the building and escort you to your space.
3. Is there a speaker accessible for a playlist or general background music?
- Yes, we have an Alexa and Bluetooth speaker available.
4. What’s the price without the Chef? and can I bring my own ?
- $100 per hour and yes you can bring in your own Chef, food has to be made prior to arrival. You also have the option to order food from a nearby restaurant and we pick up and serve you.
5. What’s included in the space?
- 6ft heart stand, Rose petals, Floating candles, Neon Signs.

6. Are you a restaurant ?
-No, we are not a restaurant. The Chef’s prepare the food prior to your booking and serves the food hot.
*Due to the high demand for this space, please give us 24-48 business hours to respond to your request

B Space
1. Are alcoholic beverages provided?
-No.
2. What’s the current price without catering and professional décor? and can I bring in my own vendors?
- $370 per hour and yes you can bring in your own vendors.

3. Am I allowed to bring a DJ?
- Due to the size of this space No, we have an Alexa and Bluetooth speaker you can use.
4. How many balloons should I purchase?
- 3 packs of 100 count kits on Amazon.
5. What’s the maximum capacity for the B Space?
- 25 Max.
6. Deposit Amount for B space?
- This depends on your Booking Type.
7. Is cleaning and decorating time included ?
Yes, for this space we give 3 hours of set up time. Our host team cleans up when you’re done. We do ask that you and your guest leave at the end time of your gathering so we can clean and prepare for the next group.
8. What should I bring if I’m doing a DIY booking ?
Serving utensils, chafting dishes, sternils and ice,
9. Are non-alcoholic beverages included ?
We provide water, you’ll have to provide juice and soda.

Deluxe Space/Norfolk & Virginia Beach
1. When is the final payment due?
- 7 days prior to your booking.
2. Does the Deluxe Space include food and decor?
- No however, we can provide referrals to frequently used vendors.
3. Are Tables/Chairs Included?
- Yes, the tables that are in the space, that is presented on the tour. $6 for each ghost/acyclic chair
We can refer you to an event chair rental company for more chair options*
4. Do I need an ABC license for alcohol?
- Yes, once you sign the contract you’ll google Virginia 1 day banquet license and follow instructions to apply. This process can take up to 10 days. Please send us a copy of ABC license before your booking date.
5. Are linens provided?
- No, you will need to bring in your own linens. We do have black and white chair covers.
6. How do I get access to the space?
- Our staff will meet you in the lobby on level 1, from there we will escort you and your guests to the space. Our host team will be in the lobby 30 min before your guest arrive.
7. Are there any additional fees?
- Yes a $75 cleaning fee and a $360 staffing fee.
There is a penalty fee if there’s any bodily fluid from guest. Check contract to see the costs.
8. What is the earliest time I am permitted to arrive at the space?
- Norfolk : 5pm on Wednesday-Friday, 3-4 hours before booking on Saturdays and Sundays
Virginia Beach : 3-4 hours before booking on Saturdays and Sundays
9. Am I allowed to bring my own vendors for my event?
- Yes, please make sure you connect them with someone from our team before your booking date.
Decorators must be approved by our compliance director.
10. How much is the deposit ?
Partial Space : Will be the first hour $385
Whole Space : Will be the first hour $445
11. Are there any retrictions ?
Yes,
NO SMOKE MACHINES, OPEN FLAMES, LOOSE GLITTER/ CONFETTI AND NO SPARKLERS OF ANY TYPE !
